Friday: I started spring break off by getting root beer floats with two of my best friends Lindsay and Darcee. After that, Lindsay and I went to see Fiddler On the Roof at the college.
Saturday: I drove to Provo with my friend Lolly. It was my soul sister Rachel's birthday so I decided to help her celebrate. We went shopping and out to dinner then I took her to the Allred concert.
We had front row seats!
Sunday: I had the random opportunity to go to church at the mental hospital. Weirdest experience of my life. It was like a scene right out of a scary movie! We had to drive up this long road lined with dead trees and stuff. So creepy. But I survived, and they didn't even keep me! After church, I visited my cousin Jessie, my old roommate Shan, and my aunts Becky & Terena, and my Grandma & Grandpa Crook. That was really neat because I haven't seen any of them in a really long time. I finally made it home in time to hang out with my family and the missionaries.
Monday: Definitely the worst day of spring break. I had to have three cavaties filled. Don't worry, I learned my lesson. I now am an excellent flosser and mouthwash user. You can bet on that. My mom took me to lunch after. I wish I had a picture of me trying to eat. Food was everywhere.
Tuesday: I got to babysit my favorite neighbors, Hannah and Wyatt. They are so cute! I had lunch with some friends then I headed back to St. George. I got to go to dinner with the drummer from Ryan Shupe & the RubberBand (my favorite band), Nate Smeding. He came over after and we watched YouTube videos and just hung out. SO much fun!
Hannah and Wyatt
Wednesday & Thursday: These days blend into one. I just know I slept in really late, watched some movies, ate a lot of junk food, and watched Burn Notice.
Friday: Friday started out like Wednesday and Thursday, but in the late afternoon, my neighbor Tucker and his old roommate Zach came and invited me to go for a walk with them. I grabbed my tennis shoes and we drove to the bike path. A walk? False. Zach made me run. So much! My legs still hurt a little. After that, Zach's parents took us and my roommates to dinner. Then, a bunch of us went on a little night hike up the mountain to look over the city. It was beautiful. I would post a picture but Tamra can't find them. So maybe some day you'll see them. Maybe some day I'll see them.
Saturday: I have a policy about leaving the house before the sun is out, except for some rare occasions, and Saturday happened to be just that. I left my house around 6:30 a.m. to head to the lovely St. George Municipal Airport to volunteer at the Thunder Over Utah air show. Lolly and I stood in conditions close to those in the Middle East and took parking tickets for about 6 hours. As awful as that sounds, it was so much fun! We got free food, free t-shirts, and free admission to the show, so it was definitely worth it! The best part of the show was the NAVY Blue Angels. I watched them practice all week from the comfort of my front lawn, but seeing them up close was just plain amazing!
This picture basically describes our day. It was SO windy and dusty.
We were trying to take a nap in the back of a friend's truck in between flights. It blocked us from the wind, which was real nice.
This was right after we got done taking tickets. We basically got sand blasted. And Lolly looks like she fake baked.
Here's a little clip of what I got to watch. I think I want to be a pilot now!
So, all in all, I had a pretty great spring break!! 6 more weeks of school!
